Experience design is making things that work well and are easy to use. It’s my passion: working with clients and their customers to enhance and improve both customer experience and ROI. From marketing & transactional websites, to training apps, to videos, to face-to-face, I create products that work for the user. If it works for your user, the returns will come to you.
It’s about taking the user’s perspective, respecting standards (and conducting heuristic analyses) and then testing assumptions. It’s about clarifying the user's needs & wants, then creating crisp, appealing responsive products.
I have worked as an interaction designer, information architect, creative director, writer, and producer in corporate communication, digital design, and training for over 20 years. I've produced more than 40 corporate communication projects that incorporated a variety of media including Web, video, and print. My pragmatic approach to problem solving won the loyalty and trust of clients including Intel, IBM, HP, Microsoft, Nikkei BP, H&R Block, CBS Television, Holland America Line, and Providence Health Systems.

Information Architecture, Rebranding, & Stakeholder Alignment
Tasked with creating a new, consolidated website for Flowserve Corporation which would integrate numerous brands across numerous lines of business. Not only did the website need to be coherent for new users, but also for long-time brand customers. Internally, the heads of each line of business needed to be brought along with the consolidation. A mutli-month process of interviews, analysis, information architecture design, and presentation lead to a successful new site.
